Object of the Institute
The focus of research is in the understanding of the city as an object. The current investigated objects include: the city as a field, the city as an aggregated figure and the city as figural field.

Editorial Policy
ioud – The Institute of Urban Design is part of the department  of Architecture of the University of Innsbruck. Since 2010, Peter Trummer has acted as head of the Institute, which commits itself towards a disciplinary approach to urban design.
